Whether currently breastfeeding, inducing lactation, supplementing with other breastmilk/formula, or planning ahead for the unforeseen future, we will work together to decipher and establish the most favorable & sustainable path of feeding your infant(s). Our evidence-based support session will begin with an informative discussion, oriented towards your current & future goals of feeding your child(ren). Once a congruent approach to support is agreed upon & established, I will provide realistic demonstrations, as well as supportive feedback, regarding possible topics, to include: the science behind lactation, the optimal time to introduce pacifiers & bottles, colostrum production & collection, mature milk production, proper latch, engorgement & clogged ducts, thrush & mastitis, body feeding positioning, donor milk supplementation, supplemental nursing system (SNS) & syringe feeding, lactation induction, different pumping techniques, milk storage, bottle preparation & feeding, pump/bottle/pacifier sanitization, non-human milk/formula supplementation, supply establishment & maintenance, andmany more! Disclaimer: Though I am thoroughly educated in the field of lactation, have a BSc in anatomy/medical-based biology, and am personally experienced in producing milk & breastfeeding, I am NOT a certified lactation consultant. My model of care is solely designed to provide evidence-based, preventative-oriented support in hopes of intercepting negative outcomes during a client’s lactation & infant feeding journey. Because I am currently neither a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), nor an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I will NOT offer medical-based advice or triage services regarding an individual’s lactation & feeding experiences. Failure to comply with my model of support will result in the termination of services, as well as the withholding of service funds.
