Service Description

If in-person Prenatal Support & Birth Prep sessions aren't the ideal option for your family, I also offer a virtual, on-call form of care; day or night, clients will have the ability to text, email, or call me regarding any questions, concerns, or heavy emotions they may be harboring. No questions should go unanswered; the health of you and your infant(s) is far too important to risk overlooking the small stuff. I will do my best to respond within the hour, if not instantly. I am a firm believer in present conversation, and therefore, will not offer pre-recorded videos. Each family will, however, have access to my ‘TOL Mental Toolkit ®’ document, as well as various videos and links related to evidence-based information regarding their reproductive journey. For my virtual method of support, I will share a personalized, live-document with each client [and their partner(s)], outlining a broad spectrum of informative-based topics related to conception, pregnancy, lactation, established & unforeseen pregnancy/perinatal complications, the anatomy of pregnancy & birth, the stages of labor, the various forms of birth, and what to plan for & expect during the immediate postpartum period. While I won’t be sharing any pre-recorded videos, I will offer clients the chance to schedule bi-weekly, 30-min video calls, on top of their on-call model of care, to discuss and/or tailor information regarding their live-document; scheduling weekly meetings allows the family and I time for collaboration & adjustment to their supportive care plan, so that it may fit the family’s individual, ongoing circumstances. During scheduled video calls, it is highly suggested that clients secure childcare and/or animal care prior, so that their full attention may be committed towards taking notes & observing visual demonstrations regarding topics, to include: perinatal comfort measures, the mechanics of contractions, fetal descent, laboring positions & non-pharmacological pain management, birth presentation, benefits of delayed cord clamping, medicated labor, baby wearing, disposable & cloth diapering , ‘The Hold’, efficient burping, alternative & supplemental feedings, swaddling, safe sleep, and many more! Supportive care is limitless from the time you sign your contract, up until the on-set of labor (my Labor & Birth Support package may be bundled with an additional, reduced fee). Disclaimer: Doulas are NOT licensed medical professionals.

Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please contact me directly at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations & no-shows are non-refundable and will result in the client being 'flagged' with a warning. To maintain my personable, tight-knit community, I will deny bookings with clients who have received 2 consecutive flags. I recognize that medical emergencies do happen, and will offer a grace period of 48 hours to reschedule any same-day cancellations. If contact for rescheduling has not been initiated within the 48 hour grace-period, funds will be withheld and the client will lose their priority for future scheduling needs.
